O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open. You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections.” 2 Cor 6:(v.11-12)
A week ago I got a word from the Lord about how the enemy screams for our attention that he may eventually attain our affection.
What I find Paul saying here is that his heart was wide open to the Corinthians but their affections that are listed here were limiting their ability of their heart to receive from him. And the apostle was actually crying out saying that God has put me in your life and things (affections) are hindering the flow of the investments of what God would love to do in your life right now.
As you get time, read vs 13 through 7:4 to see the elements the Corinthian people had to deal with which could hinder their receiving from Paul.
Song of Solomon 2:15 says catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin The Vineyards, our Vineyards that are in bloom.
We all want this year to be productive and God is saying that He would really like this year to be a year of Supernatural provision in every area of our lives. God has put people in my life this year that I am to receive from and, of course, the enemy is going to hinder or try to hinder any of those affections through which he would try to flow. I must watch out for my affections and have them not be a hindrance in my life.
